Simply Crayfish only supply wild caught non-native crayfish, the species we supply is the Signal Crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) they are a highly destructive species in the UK, and eating this tasty crustacean helps the environment!

Occasionally we have live Narrow Claw or Turkish Crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) for sale.

Yes crayfish are a seasonal product in the UK and at their most abundant during the summer, however we can supply smaller quantities during the winter.

We can supply the public Signal Crayfish, as we only sell chilled, frozen or cooked product, we will never sell live with the exceptions of Turkish Crayfish.

Yes we can accept cash but prefer payment via bank transfer or website.

Sorry, no we do not take cheques unless they are from established businesses.

We only deliver Tuesday to Friday. Orders placed between Monday to Thursday and before 10.00 hrs GMT will be dispatched the same day. The courier services used aim to deliver “Next Day” wherever possible.

Our chilled, frozen and cooked products can be delivered to all areas of the UK, our live Turkish Crayfish can only be delivered to restaurant and hotel trade. Due to the crayfish being non-native and we will not ship to areas we believe maybe at risk of introduction. This includes Wales, Scotland and NI please call us before placing your order via email sales@www.simplycrayfish.co.uk to confirm we can deliver to you.

They are shipped insulated boxes or specially insulated boxes for large orders, both of which provide the protection needed. We use gel ice packs to keep your crayfish cool, these can be reused, just pop them in your freezer and use like the plastic icepacks.

All products being prepared to order, if you order cooked product, it will be cooked and chilled the day before you receive it. If your order is for live Turkish crayfish, then they are picked and packed just before the courier comes to collect them. If your order includes frozen produce, it may defrost in transit, whilst we do our best to make sure it arrives frozen, we can’t guarantee this.

As the crayfish are a fresh and perishable product, we cannot accept returns on this basis.
